Alphabetical Glossary

AGATES in General - Family Tree: Agates help to link families and are useful for working though the different generations. Agate also connects to the earth Garden energies including the fairy kingdom, plants, flowers, rocks, trees, crystals and caves in a companionable way to fluorite. It combines both the high energies of the fairies & crystals with knowing of the land. Good for inspriation, storytelling and cirlcework with children. Agates relate to the chakras according to their individual colours. Agate like the Jasper and Quartz come in such a diverse variety which really does give us a great opportunity to tune in and work intuitively with our crystals rather than trying to 'learn everything'. Amazonite - Clear Sight: Amazonite is great to use for finding your current path or direction and making it through any distractions and to focus on what you need to. Its cleansing properties can be imagined as a beautiful aqua lake where all that is not needed is gently lifted and floats away. Chakra: Throat/Heart.

Amber Agate - Creativity: This Crystal works on the Sacral Chakra and helps generates Creative Energy. It also helps you to consolidate and ground that energy and chanel your ideas into practical projects. Generationally it is useful for healing and integrating the female earth energies in the family line and connecting with the female elders of the land or in your ancestry line. This agate can help to release pressure and pent up energies in a constructive way! Chakra: Sacral

Amethyst - Healing: Amethyst is wonderful for enhancing spiritual awareness and is often known as a healing stone. Amethyst enhances visual and symbolic communication and connects with the water, dolphins and merpeople. The deeper intense amethyst has powerful qualities of transformation and healing! Amethyst is a powerful healer tapping into the violet ray of transmutation. Amethyst can be used in meditation and during healing sessions to transform blocks back into light and bring healing through release, forgiveness & awareness. Amethyst is also very chatty and a great communicator & record keeper for the Lemurian & Atlantean times. Chakras: Third Eye (Brow)/Crown/Ears. Apophyllite - Inner Planes: Apophyllite connects with the Ancient Atlanten energies. Great for meditation and sacred temple work. Apophyllite is a record keeper from the dolphin cities. Apophyllite is a powerful little crystal especially when found in the pyramid prism form which incredibly is natural, uncut and unpolished and yet has the finish as if it had been. Apophyllite in this form activates and opens the third eye and works with the most brilliant white light. The Apophyllite Prism, whilst small, holds a microcosm of worlds within it and doorways to the Inner Planes! Chakra: Third Eye, Crown (Brow) and higher chakras.

Aquamarine - Vision Quest: Aquamarine helps us to connect with our guides and inner sight. Like a soft aqua mist that gently pulsates while we open our vision in the upper chakras. Aquamarine has a very gentle and soothing energy which works with healing of the mind and spiritual cleansing. In a sense it works like a crystal ball within allowing us to access a space within us that is our inner sight. Chakras: Third Eye/Throat/Heart.

Aragonite - Drive: Aragonite in the sputnik formation holds the Sacred Fire Codes for activation in the Heart Centre (where as a chunk or block form holds more of an overall energy wave not as precise). Immense energy is generated at the central point of the Sputnik Crystal, this energy is very powerful in shifting emotional trauma held in the heart centre. It is the formation of this crystal sputnik that connects so well with the heart for healing while it also links with the sacral/navel in its creative aspect and the crown for bringing through higher self qualities especially when clear to white shafts are present in the formation. Powerful for channeling and directing energies, works with the creative energies, drive and higher frequencies combined, manifesting and activating energy. Chakras: Heart, Crown & Sacral. Aventurine - Health: Aventurine is a quartz coloured by its mineral inclusions (like green fushite in Green Aventurines I have here) they also give a shimmering effect in the sunlight. Green Aventurine stones are a beautiful mid green with silver sparkles and facilitate rejuvenation. Green Aventurine has a strong forest and earth garden energy and is deeply rejuvenating to work with in meditation. If you are feeling tired or drained or a little grey then this is the stone to work with. Sit in meditation or place by the bed and allow the rich energies of the forest nourish you! This is a strengthening stone which revitalizes and is energizing. Imagine you are in the woods and can smell the trees and earth, breathe in the smells of nature and refuel. It is a stone often used for good health and is said to strengthen blood and overall body physique. Chakra: Heart.

Black Agate - Grounding: Beautiful Jet Black Agate is good for grounding to support work with the higher chakras and light frequencies. Jet black agate links in with the 'Panther' & 'Crow' Totem Animals. Chakra: Base

Bloodstone - Courage: Bloodstone is a variety of Jasper comprising of Red Jasper and Green Jasper together (usually a darker green). A stone must have both red and green on it to be considered a 'Bloodstone'. Bloodstone is wonderfully grounding and brings a rich nourishment for healing work. Depending on the colours and focus bloodstone works with the lower chakras strengthening and balancing them. By strengthening the lower chakras through to the heart we can access more of our strenth and courage. Chakras: Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus & Heart.

Blue Dumortierite Quartz: Blue Dumortierite Quartz is "QUARTZ" naturally coloured BLUE by the Blue "DUMORTIERITE" content. *See "Dumortierite" below under "D' for information.

Blue Lace Agate - Angels: Blue Lace Agate is a beautiful powdery blue with white lace rings and sometimes crystal pockets through the stone. This agate connects with the higher angelic realmsand is wonderful to have at Christenings, baby naming ceremonies and around new babies. It brings through clear intentions and communications of the heart. It is a very special stone. Blue Lace Agate connects with the Angels and the Dove for it's Totem Animal. Chakras: Heart & Throat. Carnelian - Fertility: Carnelian taps into the feminine energies of the womb and creativity. Carnelian is a good stone to work with on creative projects where a number of different elements need to come together in a finished work. Carnelian helps us to harness and channel the feminine creative forces and earth energies. Fantastic for work in womens circles and creative groups especially working with the medium of clay. Also useful for men exploring and in expressing their creative side. Carnelian is a type of banded or patterned lighter amber to deep orange agate. CHAKRA: Sacral (Navel).

Celestite - Angels: Celestite and Celestine are a beautiful pale blue colour and like Blue Lace Agate connect with the Angels! For helping one to connect with their personal angels and the celestial realms. Celestine has a resonance with the high frequency sounds and the music of the spheres. It works with the powder blue ray for angelic healing with sound. Chakras: Ear Chakras & Heart. Clear Quartz - Higher Self: Clear quartz is a great friend for meditation and channeling! Clear Quartz is often used to enhance Higher Self Connection especially during meditation. Clear quartz is an amplifyer and expands and generates energy whilst increasing the assimilation of white light into the body, room and area where it is working. A fantastic all round spiritual stone to add to your collection. CHAKRA: CROWN.

Dumortierite Quartz (Blue): Blue Dumortierite Quartz is "QUARTZ" naturally coloured BLUE by the Blue "DUMORTIERITE" content. Dumortierite can also come in other colours as well. Blue Dumortierite Quartz connects with the Blue Jay and the Angels and is good for friendship and loyalty. Blue Dumortierite promotes positive messages in all shapes and forms. Chakra: Throat. Emerald - Vision: EMERALD: Natural Emerald brings powerful insights and is connected to the stars and earth bringing wisdom. Emerald is wonderful to use with aventurine for healing and aquamarine for intensified visions. Embedded in a natural jet black matrix natural emerald helps to anchor and manifest our visions and dreams. Chakras: Throat, Third Eye, Heart & Base.

Garnet - Reunion: Deep rose colour garnet facilitates deep healing and release and nourishes the heart centre activating and grounding the heart energies. In a similar way to rhodonite this deeper pink energy like deep pink-red roses works with reigniting passion and deep self love. This is the ideal crystal to use for healing of relationship issues, working with expanded love energies and setting new relationship goals. Chakra: Heart.

HEMATITE - Memory: Hematite is known as grounded white light and good for grounding one's own Higher Self and Light. Hematite is also about protection and it absorbs negative energies as it basically sucks them out of the people, their energy fields or the room etc. Hematite is a great energy aligner! Chakra: Base

Jade - Success: Jade has the feeling of fertile lush land and growth and connects with the abundance of natures replenishing well springs. Rainforests and moss, green treefrogs and other amphibians are all connected to Jade with it's fluid and watery element. Jade connects strongly to pregnancy and childbirth through this watery aspect also. Jade is said to bring luck, success and good health which I am now seeing comes through this nourishing feminine element. Jade helps one move through all types of life situations and adapt and grow (like shapeshifting). This makes Jade a mighty strong ally for success with any type of change or personal growth! CHAKRA: Heart.

Jasper: Jasper like Agate comes in many different varieties and has some very interesting patterns and variations. Overall Jasper connects to the different aspects of earth and helps us to work with the land. Jasper is representative of the diversity of Mother Earth or GAIA, tune into each type of Jasper to see what it means for you individualy. Kyanite - Clarity: Kyanite links into a very clear & pure ‘sword of light’ aspect, useful for clearing blocks and stagnant energy. Kyanite can be used in conjunction with the Archangel Michael energy and the Goddess energy to call for clearings in the physical body and energy systems. It is especially effective for clearings of the sound channels, nervous system and fluid pathways within the body. Kyanite is also useful to call on for clearing the more subtle energies around the body including blockages and distorted memories or beliefs. Labradorite - Purpose & Destiny: Labradorite opens doorways and helps one to move through the Labyrinth of life by helping us to tune in and set our vision towards movement onto the right pathway. Labradorite is a great stone to work with in opening the mind to the playful and unexpected way of creativity within the universe. Labradorite also helps one to connect with their ancient spiritual priestess energies in connection with the dolphins and water temples of Lemuria. Lapis Lazuli - Insight: Lapis Lazuli has been highly valued since Ancient Egyptian & Babylonian times and also worn by Royalty. Lapis Lazuli is a very well know spiritual stone used for opening the third eye! Lapis Lazuli is wonderful to work with in meditation to enhance your ability to visualise and see! Lapis Lazuli is represented by the Egytian symbol of the third eye and represents the awakening of spiritual sight. In Egypt, Lapis Lazuli was used for protection in the afterlife and was a much sought after stone for trade. Lepidolite - Clairaudience: Lepidolite brings the Light into the Ear Channels in a very delicate and Purifying Way. Codes are reawakened to receiving and hearing on the inner planes and the Sounds of the Celestial Realms. Lepidolite connects with the butterfly, pale ‘Violet’ flower and Venus Angelic & Pleiadian realms. Often found in a curved shape and sometimes a conical or spherical shape. Flat pieces that are found in sheets are called Purple Mica. The small spherical pieces look much like the ball in a whistle and on an energetic level move in the same way. Lepidolite links into the sound healing temples on the higher dimensional realms. CHAKRAS: Ears/ALL. Malachite - Wisdom: Malachite is a very powerful stone for tapping into the earth's history and ancient time records. it is also useful for connecting with one's wisdom and helps 'recollection' of soul memories.Each band or ring in the malachite stone is like a microcosmic spiral representing the bands within the earth, solar system and us. Malachite is wonderful for earthwork and embracing our timeless and galactic wisdom. With these connections Malachite is a useful friend for deep heart healing and transcending past life issues and patterns promoting integration and a healthy new outlook. Malachite works with empowerment and reclaiming power, past life healing and healing old wounds. CHAKRAS: Heart & Solar Plexus.

Moldavite - Transformation: Moldavite Burning blocks - ancient & old entrenched patterns. Taking us back through those layers without stopping to “process” along the way! Much like an elevator journeying through the layers of the chakras, meridian points and cells of the body. Moldavite is also referred to as the Holy Grail stone and was formed from a meteorite impact. CHAKRAS: ALL. Molybdenite: MOLYBDENITE: Looks like Silver like hematite but a bit lighter and is used for protection and inspiration. If you are not familiar with Molybdenite the mineral data can be found at http://www.mindat.org/min-2746.html Chakras: Crown, Third Eye, Spinal Column & Feet.

Obsidian - Mirroring: Glossy black obsidian brings the ultimate protection on one's quest and obsidian is also known for it's mirror like qualities. It connects to the Mayan sun sign of Flint and gives us signs along the path to assist us, it also stregthens and sharpens the quality of discernment for the spiritual warrior. Rainbow Obsidian which is also black but with rivers of green and purple within amplifies qualities for powerful transformation and healing. Chakra: Base & Third Eye.

Onyx - Black: 'Black Onyx' is FOR REGENERATION & PROTECTION. It is available to help us tap into our own inner power and the regenerative forces of the universe. Like the midnight sky and the void both hold unlimited potential and their energy can be felt. Black Onyx helps us harness that energy within us! Chakra: Base. White Onyx is similar to 'Black Onyx' but it helps us tap into our own inner space & peace for gathering wisdom and regenerating our magnetic connection to the earth. Chakra: The Heart & the energy meridians of the body.

Optical calcite (Iceleand Spar ) blocks: Optical Calcite works in a similar way to Apophyllite and activates and opens the third eye and works with the most brilliant white light and holds a microcosm of worlds within it and doorways to the Inner Planes! Optical Calcite like quartz also acts as an amplifier expanding and generating energy. This assists to stimulate and activate the energies of other crystals as well as to access plenty of white light as a supply source for the healing. They're an awesome natural prism formation! Peacock Ore - Realization: This stone has may natural irridescent rainbow colours throughout its matrix. Even a tiny piece can activate the intensity of the rainbow light through all of the chakras to promote healing. As the aura - energy field absorbs the colours where they are needed a gateway to true contentment is opened to us and old unfulfilling doors can be closed. Chakras: ALL

Pyrite - Sun Energy: Pyrite is known for its ability to transmute negative energies especially from high use of technology. Great to place near the TV/Radio etc. It is also useful for working with the Earths Energy Grids & Magnetic Fields. Chakra: The Base, Feet & Knee Chakras.

Quartz - Generation: Quartz comes in many different varieties and is often a companion in mixed stones forming a conglomerate or base for other minerals. Red Jasper - Energy: RED JASPER is great for stimulating Creative energy and power, the power to create. It is very earthy and brings the Earth Power of Manifestation to you. The ability to take action with oomph and 'make it happen.

Rhodonite: Rhodonite brings a full opening of the heart with an ability to then ground the heart energies and express them in your life. Rhodonite is a great stone to work with when working towards goals that relate to your true hearts desires. Rhodonite can help fuel the creative force of your desires. Rose Quartz - Unconditional Love: Rose Quartz is well know for it's gentle heart focussed energies and promotion of unconditional love and heart healing. Rose Quartz connects strongly to the butterfly kingdom, when meditating with rose quartz call on the butterfly kingdom to join you and you may be surprised at the results. The butterflies love working with us together with rose quartz. This stone is wonderful for healing and letting go and even to assist with the grieving process, sometimes letting go can be the most powerful form of healing for the heart. Chakra: Heart.

Ruby - Passion: Ruby accelerates and deepens the heart energies. It is wonderful for working with relationships, desire and passion in a similar way to Rhodonite. It's Crystal formation brings added clarity when dealing with matters of the Heart. Embedded in it's Matrix it is more grounding and can expand it's energies to group level. In it's Matrix a communication link is established that is not present in a single stone = expanded love consciousness! Ruby also represents success in personal love and connects with deep pink to red roses! Chakra: Heart

Rutile Quartz: Channeling: Rutile Quartz is stunning with its optic fibre like golden and copper strands or filaments inside the quartz. These filaments act as conductors for energy and healing. They enable us to accesss the golden ray and are useful for sealing the body in golden light during meditation and healing. Chakra: Crown/Spine. Scepter Quartz - Healing: Quartz Scepter Rods are well known for their use in healing, they are also called a lightbrary or candle quartz. These are an esential part of a healers tool kit, helping the healer to work on deep layers of the energy field and body in removing patterns. This is an advanced healing crystal and can also be used as a wand around the home or you can alternatively sit and meditate with the Scepter. Chakra: Crown/Solar Plexus.

Selenite - Desert Rose: Mexican Desert Rose works primarily with the Heart centre and is fantastic for healing and opening of the heart. It is supportive in releasing anger stored in the heart by allowing it to gently surface and dissolve into the vibration of love. Desert rose is also useful for working with any past patterns you wish to release and good for developing self love. If you imagine while working with the desert Rose the heart is like a flower opening to receive more sunlight and preparing you to shine your light! The dolphin kingdom, work playfully with this Desert Rose on the spiritual planes and weave the energy through all dimensions. Chakras: Solar and Heart but can be used with All. AUSTRALIAN DESERT ROSE comes in an HOURGLASS CLUSTER formation and looks very different to the mexican desert rose. Energetically we are working with the same properties only this variety has a more direct energy and is good for deep pattern release. Chakras: Sacral and Heart but can be used with All. Selenite - Satin Spar: The Satin Spar form of Selenite clears, balances and activates all the chakras, clears and disperses blocks and aligns the spinal pathway. The Satin Spar Selenite has a particular focus on the third eye & crown chakras and through these chakras a connection is formed with the Higher Light Libraries so that one can work with them consciously or during meditation. Serpentine - Galactic Spiral: Serpentine connects to the Ancient Egyptian energies including the Ancient mystery schools. It is associated with magic and intiations and helps us to tap into our intuitive and psychic abilities. Chakra: The Sacral Chakra and also the earth & higher Chakras.

Sodalite - Soundwork: Sodalite brings deep cleansing as it connects with the oceanic energies and the Whale Kingdom. Sodalite is a great crystal to have in the home to bring in higher frequency energies and to use when clearing the energy in one’s home. It is also wonderful to use in meditation and healing for opening and cleansing all the chakras and also the aura. Sodalite is also great for soundwork and all kinds of groupwork. Totem Animals: Sodalite connects with the Kingfisher, Polar Bear and Whale. Chakras: Crown & Throat.

Star Mica (Muscovite) - Golden Angels: Star Mica opens the heart to the Golden Ray. Star Mica can assist us in meditation to access the Golden Star energies of pure Divine light/love energy. The Star Mica tones through its vibration to the sounds of the Golden Angelic Realms. Star Mica also acts as a toner and promotes healing throughout the energy bodies. The Energy held in the high vibration of Star Mica will tone and tune all lower vibrations into that of the pure golden ray. Star Mica assists to seal the energy field with golden light. Stellerite & Stilbite (sister Zeolites): They work with the Mermaid Energy, Peach Angels and Dove energy expanding divine energies as a blessing to the Earth. They help one connect with their feminine energies and the shell kingdom. You can meditate with these crystals by including the shell kingdom, mermaids, seahorses and other sea creatures in your meditation. CHAKRA: Heart/ALL/(plus base for women). Tektite - Space Rock: Tektite is formed during meteorite impact and is a type of molten glass rock and very powerful. In a similar way to moldavite it helps us to process energies and clear blocks, it is extremely grounding while retaining strong spiritual diversity, helping one to ground within the full picture of who we are within the universe rather than a direct earth connection alone. Chakra: Base

Tiger Iron - Personal Power: Tigers Iron is wonderful for tapping into ones personal power. Tiger Iron comprises tigers eye, red jasper and hematite in the one stone. This stone helps one develop their natural magnetism and is useful as a personal grounding stone. If you are lacking that oomph in everyday life Tiger Iron may be just what you need to tap into your deeper reservoirs of strength. CHAKRAS: Solar Plexus, Sacral & Base.

Tigers Eye: Tigers Eye is useful for sharpening the senses, precision and increasing good business instincts. Tigers Eye lends it's strength in a number of ways including decision making. Tigers eye strengthens the senses and is also used for empowerment, it helps one to determine what is most important in life. Tigers eye helps one to stay focussed and to prioritize and achieve goals. Tigers Eye is also grounding especially the pieces with more earthy colours & chocolate in them. It also has a connection to alchemy and can be used for transforming energy. Its more yellow parts connect to the suns energy, generosity and abundance. The Tigers Eye Crystal works with the Tiger Totem and the Red Fox Totem. Chakra: Solar Plexus.

Torquoise - Turtle Medicine: Torquoise is the stone of communication. It is said to help with speaking one's truth and empowerment. The Torquoise from Peru is very rich in colour with a blend of Aqua, Rich Green and some interesting flecks and markings, the colours and depth help to ground the energy. Giving a strong feeling of walking one's talk and birthing visions. Chakras: The Throat Chakra & Feet Chakras.

Unakite - Integration: Unakite is a variety of Jasper comprising of Salmon Pink/Orange Jasper and Green Jasper together (usually a light olive green). This is an excellent stone for promoting unity and healing work where integration of self is the primary goal. Chakras: Heart, Solar Plexus & Sacral.

White Agate - Purity: This Crystal works on the Crown Chakra and helps promote clear thinking. It is useful for increasing spiritual awareness and meditating! It can also be used in meditation to assist the anchoring of one's higher self and to release any blocks to doing this. It represents spiritual wisdom being passed down through the ages. Chakra: Crown

How to Tune Into Crystals

Steps for tuning into your crystals and starting the process of communication. Each of our relationships with crystals will be individual and different and we will each receive information that builds on and expands on general concepts of crystals. The information we receive ourselves will always be fresher and more pertinent to our lives or those we are sharing with. This makes it a real advantage to be able to tune in oneself directly so lets go! Once you learn this you will no longer need to turn to others for information you will be able to have a direct relationship yourself with the crystals that you are drawn to just like friends, of course the crystals have a say in this too.

A. Essential Ingredients: Trust, Listening Skills, Openness & Unconditional Love. These four ingredients are like keys opening the door to connecting with crystals spontaneously and at any time it is meant to be mutually.

1. Trust: We need to be willing to trust the information or feelings and knowing we are receiving and allow ourselves to go with it.

2. Listening Skills: We need to be willing to expand our listening skills on a new level, this is a kind of intuitive listening where we will receive sensations in our body, knowing, images or other signs as the crystals attempt to communicate with us. It will be unique for each of us.

3. Openness: It is so important here to be open and allow this intuitive form of listening to develop.

4. Unconditional Love: One of the greatest keys to opening communication with the crystal kingdom is love. If you are having trouble communicating with crystals review how you are relating to the crystals. How do you see them? Are you looking at them as friends and experiencing joy in the connection? If you are then simply enjoy the journey and with the above ingredients of trust, intuitive listening openess, communication will continue to open for you. If not go back to square one and start with a crystal that you personally feel drawn to, next start admiring its beauty, sit and allow yourself to feel the unconditional love between yourself and the crystal.

5. Patience: Oh you may also need to put the time in to develop these skills and this new way of communicating, think of it as like learning another language!

B. Other Useful Ingredients: Ill give some tips here from my experience of tuning in and although it will be unique for you this might jog some ideas/trigger you in your own journey with your crystal friends.

* Start with a crystal you have a connection with especially one that has been popping to mind or that you find interesting.

* Start with a crystal you have physically available or purchase one so that you can sit with it or hold it, or simply place it near where you are sitting.

* Make the space and time to tune in without interuptions.

* Ask yourself what am I seeing, sensing, feeling here?

* Try to think of a key word to describe it, run through the words in your mind.

* Take notice of anything you feel in this space: words, colours, sensations in your body and allow your connection to open.

* Ask the crystal what do you want to share with me? Ask the crystal where do you want to go? You may get a feeling of where to place the crystal in your home or for healing.

* Listen with all of your being and when the session feels complete thank the crystal for sharing with you!

* Make sure you are greeting the crystal as a friend and asking.

* Please avoid programming, beings do not need to be programmed. Crystals will shut down or operate at a very limited robotic capacity when they are programmed this is because they are sad or in pain.

* Crystals will actually open up and share much more when they are truly valued and showed simple love, respect and kindness.

* Set your crystals free with love and listening, allow them to shine their light freely!

* Establish an equal relationship where everyone is sovereign.
